Built on the edge of Yishun Park, "Between Green" is a series of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments. They meander through a strip of grass on an otherwise heavily forested hill. The ground-hugging & staggered nature of the massing helps preserve views into the park for residents of Blk 349 & 350 Yishun Ave 11. They also help maintain intimacy with the hill and the towering trees that flank the massing.

The site plan exemplifies how the massing snakes its way between the tree lines at the edge of Yishun Park. Its wooden boardwalk acts as a mitigated void deck between the hill and the residents above.

The block mixes adjacent unit types to encourage socioeconomic mixing. Slices of communal gardening areas are located where the block changes direction. Two bridges connect the new block to the existing one at the latter's lift lobbies.

One of the bridges connected the old and new blocks are shown here. It creates a sense of arrival that carries porosity towards the hill. A roof snakes at the sky gardens, bringing residents between the greenery of the gardens.

One of the slices that appear as a result of the massing changing direction. The kitchen has a window that opens up into the garden, fostering inter-neighbour experience. The shape of the planters take reference from permaculture design as it aims to optimise the efficiency of the garden.
